Make the most of everything that the Hibiscus Coast, Matakana and Mahurangi area has to offer. The Rodney District boasts some of the finest public parks and marine reserves in New Zealand, and they are all easily accessible from Orewa.

Visit Tiritiri Matangi, a unique island bird sanctuary that hosts some of the world’s rarest bird species, or the gannet colony at Muriwai Beach. Take a ferry to historic Kawau Island and visit the former Mansion House island residence of Governor Grey. Hire snorkelling or diving gear or go in the glass-bottom boat on the pristine waters of the Goat Island Bay marine reserve.

Enjoy wine-tasting in the Matakana area or in the Helensville and Kumeu Area, or visit the Mahurangi Honey Centre.

For something more active, go horse riding or hire a canoe on the Puhoi River.

These are just some of the things on offer in the Rodney district. We can help you plan your day trip at the holiday park reception.

Cruising, wine tasting, bird watching and more are all a short drive away.
